Our group gatherings are designed to help individuals navigate life's challenges in a supportive, nonjudgmental environment. Our Founder
Dr. Marcelena (Lena) Holmes
Rev. Dr. Marcelena (Lena) Holmes is a licensed and ordained minister, educator, speaker, consultant, and podcast host whose work brings together faith, leadership, and service to others. Throughout her career, she has sought to help individuals and organizations navigate change, deepen their sense of purpose, and translate faith and values into meaningful action.
Her ministry experience includes serving as a member of the teaching team for the River of Life Bible School and as a Deacon at Journey Church in Baltimore, Maryland. She has also served as a conference speaker and guest speaker for congregations and other faith-based gatherings. As a faith-based consultant, Dr. Holmes has worked with ministry, nonprofit, and business leaders to strengthen their organizations and advance their missions.
Her professional experience extends across the nonprofit and business sectors, giving her a perspective shaped not only by theological study and ministry, but also by the practical realities of leadership, organizations, and community service. Through her teaching, coaching, consulting, and public conversations, she encourages people to examine questions concerning Christian identity, values, and purpose.
Dr. Holmes holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Northeastern University, a Master of Arts in Theology from St. Mary’s Seminary & University, a Master of Public Administration from the University of Baltimore, and a Doctor of Ministry in Transformational Leadership from Ashland Theological Seminary in Ashland, Ohio.
Her interdisciplinary education and professional experience reflect a longstanding commitment to integrating faith, thoughtful leadership, and service to community—and to creating spaces where people can grow in wisdom during life’s most challenging seasons.
